my mother-in-law owns a carriage-tour business in salem, massachusetts and I had the distinct privilege of being entrusted with the task of modifying an existing carriage into a larger wagonette. i did all of the woodwork and the visible metalwork myself. structural welding was done on site by a local welder.

construction in process. all told i fabricated two buckboard seats, four knees to support the seats, a new back for the wagon box, floorboards, and oak blocks to connect the new steel frame to the wooden box.
